Every month at the school is special

The kids learn a little more, some of the many Indian holidays are celebrated, and in that mix, we learn a little more as well!

In the last few months, the kids have learned about their freedom, girls have been encouraged to dream, staff has worked with parents to learn how to encourage and support their children, and so much more!

See below for photos and more!

Parents and teachers meeting

We held a parents and teacher meeting to discuss half yearly exams and the progress of individual children.

Parents of children that are struggling with their studies are given guidance on how to help and support their kids.

This month we also discussed the difference between hard work and working smarter, and encouraged the kids to think about ways they can work smarter, not harder!

23rd January Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti

We celebrated Subhas Chanra Bose Jayant on the 23rd January to mark the birthday of this prominent Indian freedom fighter.

All children and staff gave tribute to him.  It was a fun day for all!

24th January National Girl Child Day

Our girls are encouraged to go for their dreams!

National Girl Child Day is celebrated in India every year on January 24. It was initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the government of India to spread public awareness about inequities that girls face in Indian society.

26th January Republic Day

Flags and sweets on Republic Day for the kids. Republic Day is when India ceelbrates the Constitution of India which came into effect on 26th January 1950.

Our school aims to keep the children informed of their heritage and history by marking these days with celebrations.

26th January Vasant Panchmi

The kids offered flowers to maa Saraswati in preparation for the arrival of spring.

Vasant Panchami also marks the  preparation for Holika and Holi, which take place forty days later.

The Vasant Utsava (festival) on Panchami is celebrated forty days before spring, because any season’s transition period is 40 days, and after that, the season comes into full bloom.
